Exams
How often should I get an eye exam?
Our doctors recommend a comprehensive eye exam every 12 months.
At what age should children have their first eye exam?
As a proud partner with the InfantSEE program, we are happy to provide a free eye examination for any children between 6 to 12 months of age. After infancy, children should be examined at least once between the ages of 3 to 5 to ensure that they are visually ready to begin pre-school programs.
Dilation
What side effects can I expect after being dilated?
Increased sensitivity to bright lights is the most common side effect of dilation. Blurry near vision is also a side effect for most patients. Distance vision may also be somewhat affected depending on the patients prescription and age of current glasses.
I just had my eyes dilated, how long will the dilation last?
Typically, the side effects of dilation drops will last approximately 4 to 6 hours. Some people are more sensitive to the drops and it may take longer. If your eyes have not returned to normal in 24 hours, give us a call.
Contact Lenses
How can I re-order contact lenses?
You can re-order contact lenses for up to one year following a contact lens examination. You can call the office and tell us how many boxes you would like to order, and we will process your order. It typically takes 5 business days from the time the order is placed, for the lenses to arrive in our office. When they arrive we will give you a call.
